Pageant - Atkins Heritage Festival 2026

Pageant Details

Date: October 24th, 2026
Location: Church of the Assumption Parish Hall, 118 Ave 3 NE, Atkins, AR
Check-In: 9:00 AM (you must be checked in by 9:15 AM to compete)
Pageant Begins: 9:30 AM
Entry Fee: $25.00
Overall Supreme Winner (optional): additional $10.00

Deadline is October 19! All entries must be postmarked by the deadline date. NO entries at the door will be accepted. Contestants are NOT considered registered until both entry form AND payment are received.

Age Groups

Boys: 0-Up (will be split according to number of entries)
Girls: 0-11 months, 12-23 months, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12

Contestants MUST compete as their age on the day of the pageant. The director has the right to combine or split any age division according to the number of entries received by the deadline.

Awards

A divisional King/Queen will be named in each age group — winners receive a crown, sash, and trophy. In each division, a 1st and 2nd Alternate will be awarded a trophy. All other contestants will be declared Future King/Queen and receive an award.

There will also be one Overall Supreme Winner for the entire pageant (must pay the optional fee to enter). The contestant with the highest score out of all entered will receive a crown, sash, and large trophy.

Modeling & Attire

Modeling pattern is 3 straight X's: Enter → X1 → X2 → X3 → Exit

Attire for the pageant is Sunday best for all age groups.

NO pageant dresses, tuxedos, or pageant attire! No false enhancements or fake hair pieces
NO makeup is allowed on any girls age 6 and under (judges will be instructed to deduct points for makeup other than lip gloss). Girls age 7 and over may wear very little makeup, but it must be age appropriate
Attire for contestants is Sunday best — slacks/shirt for boys; sundresses or spring/summer dresses for girls — and should be age appropriate

Parade & Winners

All Kings and Queens will be expected to ride in the parade the same day, October 24th, at 1:00 PM
If your child is crowned a King/Queen, please stay after the pageant for a short meeting regarding parade information and pictures
